Original Pancake House
I believe I may have just tried the best pancakes in the world.
Okay--that may be too far of a stretch. What I mean is, I have tried the best pancakes I've ever eaten in my entire life. And I'm not a super big pancake fanatic either--as a matter of fact, I abhored pancakes as a child. But that is irrelevant.
I had the eggs benedict and switched out the potato pancakes for buttermilk. And I enjoyed my pancakes than the main entree itself...they were so delightfully fluffy, soft, and buttery. Accompanied by the thick syrup and I had myself a little mouthgasm.
The eggs benedict was alright, every eggs benedict from breakfast restaurant tastes similar to me. So OHOP's did not particularly stand out. Prices are average, with my meal around $10 (Pancakes as a meal by itself are $7-$8).
Service is fast as they try to get you in and out as quickly as possible. My friend and I were running late to meet our friends there (who were already seated), and they were pressuring them to order, which is understandable. When we did order, our meals did not lag far behind from when everyone else began digging in.
I will definitely come back to try more pancakes, but not in a bigger group (they add mandatory gratuity). It's good, but not good enough to fork over the extra cash.
